WTC Sphere – Dedicated to 9/11 Attack Victims
Before the tragic 9/11 attacks, Fritz Koenig’s sculpture The Sphere had its home in the plaza between the twin towers of the World Trade Center.
The 25-feet high Sphere was damaged in the 9/11 attacks but not destroyed.
The unrepaired artwork was subsequently relocated to the Battery Park and dedicated to the victims of the 9/11 attack.
The Sphere is likely to be moved to a new location soon.
